We have been Retained by a growing commercial construction company in the King of Prussia area to identify a Human Resources/Payroll Specialist. This is a broad role that supports the CFO with a variety of Human Resources, Payroll and Business Office duties. Very nice working environment.
Human Resources/Payroll Specialist Summary of Duties:
The Human Resources/Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll department and assisting with Human Resource functions related to payroll. The Human Resources/Payroll Specialist will also be tasked with retirement plan admin and employee benefits.
Human Resources/Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
- Payroll Functions
- Process weekly payroll for salaried and hourly (prevailing wage) employees
- Set up new jobs in payroll
- Set up new hires/rehires
- Oversee drug and alcohol testing
- File Federal/State/Local payroll taxes
- Retirement Planning
- Managing all testing, notice, mailings, Form 5500, and audit
- Medical/Dental/Vison/Life Insurance
- Assist with and coordinate annual open enrollment with Broker
- Review/Approve monthly medical, dental, and life invoices
- Property/Casualty Insurance
- Coordinate with Insurance Broker all Certifications
- Renewals
- File/Administer claims
Human Resources/Payroll Specialist Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience with and strong understanding of payroll
- Prior experience working with employee benefits
- 5+ years of experience working in the construction, plumbing, and/or HVAC industries
- Experience with SAGE Timberline (preferred)
