Junior Staff Accountant (Manufacturing)

We are searching for skilled talent to join the company as a Jr. Staff Accountant at the Mount Laurel, NJ facility. This critical role supports the EMS businesses. This business is on a trajectory of growth and provides an opportunity to support a global organization.

Job Summary:

Responsible for reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts. Processing, updating, and maintaining all Accounts Payable records, verifying and posting transactions. Process all collections of Accounts Receivable and follows up status of payments past due. Supports accounting department, corporate and business units with excel analysis of general ledger accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes and updates accounts payable on a timely basis.
  • Processes all accounts payable invoices for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Reviews and gets proper authorization on all vouchers prior to processing.
  • Prepares invoice deduction or other changes to payables notices, as necessary.
  • Answers all vendor inquiries and prepares all vendor payments.
  • Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
  • Assists Corp. Accounting Manager with all disbursement checks, wires and ACH.
  • Maintaining account analysis files and write up of journal entries
  • Processing of cash receipts and collections of Accounts Receivables
  • Works with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepares and File Sales and Use tax within the various states.
  • Must be familiar with SAP Concur expense account software
  • Tracks and monitors corporate credit card activity to reports to employees and department managers.
  • Completes other duties as assigned to meet accounting department responsibilities.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in accounting
  • Two years’ experience in Accounts Payable and working knowledge of general ledger accounting
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be thorough and have detail to accuracy
  • PC Skills including Accounting Software MRP, Concur and Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all departments
