Salary: $80K to $120K DOE plus commission
The Sales Executive is responsible for the development and generation of new business opportunities in their assigned markets (both commercial and residential). The successful Sales Executive will create long-term relationships through creative solutions. The Sales Executive creates company awareness through association involvement, use of social media, and other activities required to generate sales.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop Sales Plan with the Senior Director, Construction/Landscaping for each assigned customer.
- Pro-actively canvas markets to seek out new business opportunities.
- Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies and translating them into market opportunities.
- Effectively utilizes Aspire during the selling and execution processes, including setting up jobs correctly and translating scope into services/work tickets.
- Leverage resources from across company to deliver annual sales targets.
- Drive sales process from initial contact through approach, proposal, presentation & successful conclusion of new business opportunities.
- Meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Open and close new business opportunities.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years prior sales experience within a commercial or residential landscaping or adjacent industry.
- Experience selling in property/facility management preferred but not required.
- Financial acumen which enables understanding client operations and developing cost-effective solutions.
Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with competency in facilitation and business writing.
- Must have proved experience developing and closing new business (hunters/rainmakers)
- Understands and utilizes technology (Aspire) as a core communication tool, ensuring jobs are priced and executed properly through the system.
- Demonstrated high-level networking and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in successfully building relationships and influencing key decisions makers (at all levels).
- High level of professionalism, responsibility and accountability with the ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the demonstrated ability to identify and sell creative, solution-based contract and enhancement opportunities.
- Demonstrates competitive drive, results orientation and tenacity with respect to hitting sales targets.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate confidentiality.
- Represents the company in a positive and professional manner.
