Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Guide accounting personnel in daily tasks.
- Financial Analysis: Review financial data to make re-forecasting decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial scorecards and dashboards for senior leadership and preparation of GAAP financial reporting.
- Strategic Communication: Liaise with finance department regarding financial strategies and policies.
- Compliance: Ensure financial procedures, records, and statements comply with laws and regulations.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation for external auditors annually.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Preparation of monthly journal entries: Assist finance team by proposing monthly closing entries and updating general ledger.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Accounting Knowledge: Proficient in GAAP and SFAS rules.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial information and pay attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with financial software and Microsoft Office.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is typically required.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance.
