Location: DC, MD, and Northern VA (DMV) region
Comp: $70K-$100K
A leading steel fabricator in the Mid-Atlantic region is looking for someone to oversee fieldwork throughout the DC, MD, and Northern VA (DMV) region. Requirements:
- As permitted by applicable law, the company will conduct a criminal background check after a conditional offer is made.
- Be able to pass a drug test.
- Must have own transportation.
- College / trade school degree or a few years’ experience related to Business or Construction is helpful.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Be self-motivated.
- Able to walk jobsites, climb a ladder, work outdoors exposed to the elements, stand on your feet for extended hours.
- Able to read a tape measure and understand drawings is preferred.
Job Description:
- Steel Construction type work.
- Work from heights including equipment, scaffolding, and ladders wearing PPE and a PFAS.
- Take instructions.
- Supervise and motivate erection personnel.
- Manage multiple erection crews.
- Field measure.
- Monitor jobsite safety.
- Prepare daily logs and weekly timesheets.
- Plan future erection activities / develop a schedule.
- Schedule erection crews.
- Schedule deliveries.
- Resolve jobsite problems.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Negotiate Change Order Requests.
- Provide feedback to detailing.
- Other work, which may be assigned by executives.
This position will report directly to our VP for the DMV region.
- Typical workdays are (10) hours; typical work week is 45 – 48 hours.
