Job Summary
Our client is seeking a proactive and driven Sales Manager to lead their Northern New Jersey sales team. In this role, you’ll oversee sales operations, mentor and develop team members, and ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high sales standards and meeting established KPIs. Their ideal Sales Manager is motivated, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator, committed to helping each team member excel in their role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and audit all new sales contracts for accuracy.
- Manage lead schedules, assigning qualified leads to field sales representatives
- Develop, train, and mentor the sales team through weekly meetings, small group sessions, and regular ride-alongs (15+ per month).
- Coach and support sales representatives, focusing on both team and individual performance.
- Conduct customer follow-ups to address concerns and identify solutions for customer retention.
- Develop mentors within the sales team to support sales goals and professional growth.
- Teach closing skills (Always Be Closing)
Key Performance Indicators
- Net Sales Revenue: Achieve or exceed revenue goals.
- NSLI: Improve sales conversion rates.
- Sales Against Book Value: Meet or exceed sales values on scheduled projects.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in sales management role, plus 3-5 years in a hunter one-call type sale. (no long sales cycles)
- Strong background in technology use (iPad, Leap, Hover).
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, in-person and via Teams/Zoom.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Thrive in fast paced environment (always on!!!!!)
- Prior construction, landscaping, roofing, siding, windows industry is A+
