We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Senior Sales Account Manager to join our client’s team. This role combines the art of relationship-building with the science of strategic selling. You’ll maintain detailed customer records, engage with clients in person, attend company events, and collaborate closely with the technical team to deliver tailored IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings to understand client needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored IT solutions that address their business challenges.
Sales Growth
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct detailed needs assessments to recommend appropriate IT services and solutions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and lead-generation efforts.
Day-to-Day Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date customer records in the CRM system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Document all interactions, updates, and follow-ups in the CRM for transparency and tracking.
- Attend and actively participate in all company events, including networking functions and team-building activities.
Internal Collaboration
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with technical team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with technical capabilities and project delivery timelines.
- Share client feedback and insights with technical and leadership teams to enhance service offerings.
Market and Industry Knowledge
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activities.
- Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies and provide clients with cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3+ years of experience in IT services sales, account management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Familiarity with IT services such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and managed IT.
