Tax Associate (Accounting, Tax and Addvisory Services)

Comp: Base $70K-$80K dependent upon experience

The Tax Associate prepares tax returns and working papers for assigned clients and works with team members on multiple tax engagements to deliver tax services to clients.

Responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advise management on potential impacts and implement necessary adjustments.

Audit Support:

  • Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for external auditors during tax audits.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance and reporting.

Research and Analysis:

  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and organized tax records, ensuring easy retrieval for internal and external purposes.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in federal and multi-state returns is required.
  • Min of 1 year experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
  • Experience in tax preparation.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (CCH ProSystem FX).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
