The Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decision-making across the organization. Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
•Partner with business stakeholders to define and deliver management information resources contributing to strategic vision, product roadmap, solution design, and end-to-end implementation.
•Collaborate with internal and external partners to architect, build, and maintain management information systems that meet evolving business needs.
•Develop and sustain deep expertise in reporting tools and data sources to maximize the value of management information; work with data owners to establish data standards and collection processes that ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
•Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies that modernize and improve the delivery of management information; proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes through advanced data analytics.
•Take on additional responsibilities as the role evolves, contributing broadly to the success of the data and analytics function.
Overview of Skills & Qualifications
•5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, including hands-on proficiency with modern analytics toolsets.
•Demonstrated expertise building management information systems, analytics solutions, and data management processes within a commercial lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environment.
•Proven experience analyzing data from both policy and claims perspectives within a P&C context.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel, and Guidewire data tools; experience with comparable platforms is welcomed.
•Strong foundation in structured system development methodologies and business workflow design.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
•Demonstrated ability to thrive in cross-functional team environments, building trust and fostering collaboration across stakeholders at all levels.
•Skilled in the full Microsoft productivity suite, including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience in a P&C insurance setting.
•Relevant certifications are a plus: CBAP, PMP, CPCU, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or other data management credentials.
