Our client is a major commercial insurance carrier. Well respected, financially stable and in growth mode. We are working with them to recruit and place a VP, Client Services/Operations to take the lead in the management of their program partnerships. This is critical position responsible for the evaluation, implementation, oversight, monitoring, and auditing of operational and technical services for programs/MGA business (property and casualty); admitted and non-admitted. Problem Solver who operates with a sense of urgency.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead prospect operational fact finding, due diligence, qualification, and implementation of new MGA programs. Identify special considerations and solutions.
- Evaluate/review systems (how data are captured, admitted vs non-admitted programs) etc.
- Perform multi-line operational and compliance reviews.
- Reviewing forms, rating, statutory requirements for UM/UIM/Fraud/TRIA & Comparing to prior results.
- Act as a liaison with Underwriting, Product Management, State Filings, Information Systems, Compliance, Accounting, and Finance departments to lead the development and implementation of product and technology solutions.
- Monitor MGA’s and Program Administrators for regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Perform operational components of program and internal company audits.
- Document and address all deficiencies. Provide operational and technical expertise to assist clients in process revisions or tool modifications to meet standards.
- Monitor and follow up to ensure operational and financial results are acceptable.
- Manage, monitor, and oversee operational results of ongoing program business.
- Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts to resolve open issues and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Continuously seek opportunities to bring additional value to clients.
- Provide effective and continuous communication of key operational, financial, and regulatory activities/results of the program accounts with internal/external stakeholders
- Lead and/or assist special projects/ miscellaneous, as assigned, to support the development of operational capabilities that provide competitive advantage and support statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Special projects such as updating manuals for fraud, updating profiles, etc.
Overview of Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Property and casualty insurance knowledge (coverage (product), rating (familiarity with reading rating worksheets)
- Firm understanding of rating process, bordereau review, etc.
- Minimum of 10 Years operations or technical experience required
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory/statutory requirements
