Compensation: $70K-$80K plus bonus and full benefits package
The company is a premier manufacturers’ representative serving the electric utility industry by representing suppliers of high-voltage electrical equipment designed for application within the infrastructure systems of their electric utility customer base. They seek an experienced inside sales professional to join their successful organization. This person will report to both the Sales Manager and the leadership team.
Primary, day-to-day activities after appropriate on-boarding shall include:
- Proposal preparation
- Processing of all orders, blanket contracts, order expedites, and material returns
- Development and continued enhancement of relationships with both customer base and manufacturers represented throughout territory
- Engage and support channel partner relationships
- Continuing internal education on product offerings
- Support of and work collaboratively with outside, senior sales force
- Limited marketing and production promotion tasks along with sales tool utilization
Key Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales or sales support experience a plus, ideally in a technical setting
- Salesforce experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Willingness and ability to learn features/benefits of an engineered product
- Self-starter, someone who takes initiative while being team-oriented
- An individual must have “thick skin” and learn from rejection
- Occasional, day-trip type of travel with potential for trade show visits
- Responsible for opportunity follow-through in conjunction with sales team leads
