Accounts Receivable Associate (Screening)

Comp: $20 to $24 an hour plus OT

The Accounts Receivable Associate provides various client-facing and back-office functions around invoicing, payment processing, payment application and client disputes.  As needed, the role will follow up on past due invoices, perform troubleshooting as needed, and identify solutions.  Customer communication takes place via inbound calls, email, or online.

Essential Functions

Process and apply manual credit card payments: 30%

  • Manage daily credit card logs
    • Process cards in Authorize.Net or Orbital
    • Cash-apply successful charges
    • Contact customer on failed charges

Deliver Invoices: 25%

  • Working off the client checklist, ready monthly special invoices for delivery
    • Revise standard invoices to conform to client specifications
    • Upload invoices to client or third-party portals
    • Deliver invoices via web, email or mail

Investigate Client Disputes: 20%

  • Research client credit card disputes and work out with customers
  • Follow up on past due invoices as identified / assigned.

Assist in Collections and Cash Application: 10%

  • As needed assistance in collections and cash application

Troubleshooting: 5%

  • Troubleshoot and identifies systematic issues.
  • Recommend procedures to correct.

Security: 5%  

  • Uphold all corporate security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that daily activities support safeguarding of client and corporate data and resources.
  • Report any security concerns to the security team.

Other: 5%

  • Perform other duties as directed.

Competencies

  • Ethical conduct and compliance with the company Code of Conduct.

  • Proficiency in M.S. Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics SL is a plus
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have strong keyboard skills. Must be able to maintain confidential information and follow procedures for work processing

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must complete ISO and FCRA competency tests
  • Must also complete department specific training competencies and corporate security training

Required Education & Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required

Preferred Education & Experience

  • At least one year of related experience is preferred

Travel

Employees may be expected to travel between Warminster, PA and Mt. Laurel, NJ locations as needed for training and to travel for other business purposes as occasion may require

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see as necessary to operate a computer and telephone as well as other standard office equipment. The employee frequently is required to operate a telephone and computer including the use of a keyboard and mouse. The employee may also be required to lift and pull up to ten pounds as necessary.  This is a predominantly sedentary position with an assigned workstation; employees are required to sit at their workstation for the duration of their shift, aside from their regularly scheduled break and other minimal exceptions.

Work Environment

The job operates in a production-based office environment. The work environment is fast paced, and employees are required to maintain defined production and quality standards. While some teamwork may be required, most tasks are completed individually.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and fax machines.  The dress code is casual; however, employees must adhere to the standard dress code and comply with a stricter dress code on designated dates for occasions such as, but not limited to, client visits.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

All employees are subject to and must successfully pass a pre-employment background screen. Employees are also subject to routine background screening during their employment. Certain positions are subject to FBI clearance.
